Other Ways to Ensure Professional Behaviour

Your role as a Professional Driver is pivotal in shaping our Passengers' experiences and upholding our reputation. Delivering exceptional service encourages trust and loyalty from our Passengers.

Here are some key practices to ensure you are always providing an exceptional quality service:

  • always start your meter at the beginning of every trip and only charge Passengers the displayed fare – overcharging your Passengers is illegal and damages trust

  • ensure your IVT meter is visible to your Passengers throughout the journey – do not allow your meter to be blocked or hidden at any point throughout your trips

  • greet your Passengers with a smile and say hello

  • be honest in your interactions with your Passengers

  • wear your full 13cabs uniform and ensure your personal presentation is neat and hygienic

  • always accept Taxi Subsidy Scheme cards and interstate taxi subsidy vouchers that are valid in your state

  • offer to help with any luggage or bags – this includes shopping and mobility aids

  • if your Passengers is elderly, has a disability or you notice they are struggling, offer to assist them to the vehicle and in or out of the vehicle

  • be polite – don't argue with your Passengers and remain courteous

  • be professional – don't discuss inappropriate topics or sensitive topics such as politics, religion, sexuality, gender or your opinions on these matters

  • do not use your mobile phone while transporting a Passenger – this includes talking on handsfree devices, watching videos, texting, using social media or any other usage

  • read and follow all booking details

  • pleasantly say goodbye when your Passenger is leaving your cab
